HENBUHAO is the pseudonym of a Philadelphia-based artist from China. Hailing from the ancient city of Xi’an in Shaanxi, China, he was educated in the Chinese fine art system, culminating in a degree from the Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts in 2016. Coming to America to continue his education, he attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts for his Master’s degree, beginning a practice here in Philadelphia. Always tapped-in to current culture and media, HENBUHAO also works out of Hangzhou, a major city across the water from Shanghai, in Zhejiang, China.
