The Red glider is one of the only butterflies with almost fully covered red wings, the bright red color in itself is quite rare in the butterfly world. I feel there is something special and mysterious about this one, its small but so colorful, you can't miss it in the wild. Seeing multiple Red gliders flying around you will make you think that you are in a fairy land.

They make excellent gifts for couples, I tend to sell little bit more on Valentine's day :)

This species is found in Africa. The scientific name for this beauty is Cymothoe hobarti, from the family of Nymphalidae
